Weekend Work Detail
How does everyone else handle the weekend work detail business around your house? Does everyone grumble and moan about helping out? How do you motivate them to just do it and get it over with? Maybe you don’t do it on the weekends. Saturday morning has become the time my household gets together and cleans the house. For example this morning here’s our list:
- Dishes, load and unload
- Toilets, just do it
- Floors, sweep and mop, vaccum carpets
- Dust
- Trash, take out all bathroom and kitchen trash
- Clothes, fold and put away
- Bedrooms, pickup and put away
Parable Of Jotham
I was discussing the parable of Jotham over on the OSG group on facebook. I thought it is very appropriate for the time we are currently in with the new leaders taking office soon.
If you would like to check it out it’s Judges 9:7-15. Are there any Abimelech’s in this past election?
Election 08 News/Twitter Feed
Here is my contribution to the election news frenzy today. Plus I wanted to play around with the sproutbuilder.com tools. Very cool stuff.

Or you can go here to Mogulus to see a bigger version with the chat screen enabled to the right of the player.
A Picture is Worth a Thousand Words
This is just a small glimpse into all thats going on in my brain these past few weeks. I have no idea how to put all of this down into a blog post so I’m going to try this.
Unity
u·ni·ty
| 1. | the state of being one; oneness. |
| 2. | a whole or totality as combining all its parts into one. |
| 3. | the state or fact of being united or combined into one, as of the parts of a whole; unification. |
| 4. | absence of diversity; unvaried or uniform character. |
| 5. | oneness of mind, feeling, etc., as among a number of persons; concord, harmony, or agreement. |
Unity is a simple concept and if exercised in the right places can be very powerful. Imagine the power of a church where all the members are unified. If all the members of that church are in a oneness of mind and in harmony. There wouldn’t be any critics or complaining within that church. Everyone working together on one goal to spread the good news of Jesus Christ! That would be an awesome thing to be apart of and see happen.

- Salvation comes at the moment the sinner believes the gospel. (Romans 10:9-13; Ephesians 1:13-14)
- Salvation is granted by God and secured by God. (John 10:27-30)
- Jesus perfectly accomplished and completed all the works necessary to save sinners just like you. (John 19:30)
- Salvation is completely of God and not of man in any way, and it is to the glory of God alone. (Romans 8:28-30; Romans 9; Ephesians 1)
